National Security Law and Policy Expert

About Lindsay

I am a U.S. Marine, an attorney, and a foreign policy/defense expert living in New York City. After graduating from Duke University, Harvard Law School and the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard, I devoted myself to federal government service and U.S. national security. I served on active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps as a judge advocate, and remain in the Reserves. I was selected as a White House Fellow in 2014, and served on the National Security Council. After my White House Fellowship, I was selected for a political appointment in the Obama Administration.

In 2016, I moved to Canada and accepted a fellowship with the Council on Foreign Relations to study the Canadian-American defense relationship and arctic security. I have recently relocated home to New York (where I was born and raised) with my husband and my son Benjamin, where I work at Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America advocating for military service members and veterans.

I am available for consulting work on a variety of topics, including U.S. national security law and policy, arctic security, Canadian-American relations, military personnel policy, and veterans issues through the following site: https://www.ducoexperts.com/users/lindsay.
